Missouri Names Brady Cook Starting QB

Eli Drinkwitz names Missouri sophomore Brady Cook the Tigers’ starting QB in the Sept. 1 season opener against Louisiana Tech. Cook won the battle between 4 redshirt freshman Tyler Macon, graduate transfer Jack Abraham and true freshman Sam Horn. It was a bit of a surprise that Drinkwitz make the announcement so soon. Cook was named the starter via Mizzou Football’s Twitter account.
“I’ve always wanted to come and play at Mizzou,” Cook said. “I figured this is my opportunity. I want to stick it out, I want to make it work at Mizzou. This is where I want to be great. That’s why I made that decision and I plan to make it work out.” Cook has an impressive caste of receivers who will give the offense a change to be very productive. Brady Cooks looks to have a great season leading Mizzou to a winning season. Brady Cook with be the fifth different starting quarterback in five straight years going into week one of the season. Should he get injured or struggle Mizzou has some depth at the quarterback position. The first two games of the season are very important to set the tone and give the team confidence.
