Mizzou has added a familiar name to its 2023 recruiting class with the commitment of defensive lineman Tyson Ellison as a walk-on. Tyson is the son of Atiyyah Ellison, who is currently the director of player development for Missouri and a former Tiger football player who was a two-time All-Big 12 selection in the early 2000s.
Atiyyah’s career highlights include 132 total tackles and 6.5 sacks across the 2003 and 2004 seasons, as well as being a first-team All-Big selection in 2004 and a third-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Tyson, who attends Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri, is listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. Here are some highlights from Tyson’s senior season of high school.
